I recently took a few days away to visit Laos. You rarely get the opportunity to see the world through a different lens so I jumped at this one. From Luang Prabang to Phatung along with treks through the hills of Nong Kiau, I was able to come back stateside with a renewed appreciation on life. The trip was centered around detachment and rebirth while being hands on with the non-profit organization,
Pencils of Promise. We visited 3 of the current 15 schools that have been built in Laos for beautiful children who take full advantage of the opportunity to educate themselves. I return from this trip with a greater appreciation of opportunity, motivation to continue to live outside myself and the realization of how much we complicate our own lives. I look forward to continue a more simplistic, productive lifestyle. Never letting a day go by without being thankful for what I have.
